Measure Title: Cervical Cancer Screening

Measure Description: Percentage of women 21-64 years of age, whom received one or more Pap tests to screen for cervical cancer.

In order for the Clinical Quality Measure report to generate, the following must be documented in the relevant patient's chart:

1. Patients must be between the ages of 21 and 64 AND have at least one face-to-face encounter within 2 years prior to the end of the reporting period and received one or more PAP tests to screen for cervical cancer within two years prior to the reporting period.

2. Document the screening status by creating a Plan record.

Select the category "NQF 0032" for a list of proper codes. The plan record must contain one of the following CPT codes: 88141, 88142, 88143, 88147, 88148, 88150, 88152, 88153, 88154, 88155, 88164, 88165, 88166, 88167, 88174, 88175.

Measurement Calculation Details

Denominator Calculation:

The denominator for this measurement is calculated based on the following:

1. Females ages 21-64 and have at least one face-to-face encounter with the provider during the reporting period and have not had a hysterectomy procedure.

Numerator Calculation:

The numerator for this measurement is calculated based on the following:

1. The number of patients in the denominator with the appropriate CPT item in the Plan record to indicate a cervical cancer screening : 88141, 88142, 88143, 88147, 88148, 88150, 88152, 88153, 88154, 88155, 88164, 88165, 88166, 88167, 88174, 88175.
